When should a Qur’an be repaired?
Most damage starts small and quiet. A cover that no longer sits flush, a few pages working loose near the spine, a corner that has softened from years of being opened at the same place. None of it stops you reading, so it tends to get left, and each of those is easier and cheaper to fix early than after the block has split.
It is worth taking one copy off the shelf and opening it properly. Hold the spine, let the pages fall open, and look at where the paper meets the binding. If anything shifts, moves or lifts, it is worth a photo and a message.

If a repair is not worth doing for the condition of the copy, you will be told that too, along with what to do with a mushaf that is beyond repair. Qur’ans and Islamic books are both welcome, whether the copy is decades old or one a child has been learning from this year.
